Foxy Kid was recorded in 1909 by Max Schlossburg (1873-1936) and William Bartow (1869-1958).
Schlossburg played with the New York Symphony under Gustav Mahler and Arturo Toscanni. He had many trumpet students who became principal players in various orchestras. His manuscripts were compiled after his death and published in book form “Daily Drills and Technical Studies” that is still in use today.
Bartow was also trumpet with the New York Symphony for 3 years. He was cornet soloist with Sousa in New York City.
